Leaving Blogger Behind

Hello all, bet you thought I'd gone missing....again!  Well I haven't, not really, I've just been playing around quietly in my office and setting up my new blog over at Wordpress.  It was time for a bit of a change, with AnnaBelle Stamps nearly ready to finally close it's doors, and my crafty mind wanting to try different things I thought a new blog and new look would do the trick, and really I have to admit that I love playing around with the design side of a blog!  I hope you'll join me over there and see a card I finished just today...

AnnaBelle's store will finally close at the end of October and any remaining sets will move to the AnnaBelle blog with a Paypal button, but before that happens, and because tomorrow would have been our 5th birthday, I'm reducing all stock by a further 15%!  Everything has already been reduced so this will just add to the savings!!!  Simply key in the code below for the further discount to be applied....

Thanks to everyone who came to visit and share in my love for our stamps.  This isn't quite the end, and I see lots of new things in the future!  Hope to see you over at Creating Simply!

Paper Crafter's Library Spotlight

I am very excited to be sharing a couple of projects over at Paper Crafter's Library today!  I have a little sneak peek of one of the cards below, but you'll have to head on over to their website to catch the full reveal!

Yes I've gone and used Inktense pencils once again - love them! - but I've also used Copics, so I hope you enjoy taking a look!

Friday Feature

Hi all!  It's been a long time since I posted so don't be shocked that I'm back lol!  It's not as though I haven't been crafting, because I have, and it's not because I haven't had time, because that wouldn't be right either, it's more that I've been playing with a different bobbie so I'll share more of that down the track!

This week over at AnnaBelle Stamps we have our regular Friday Feature and this week it's the set Fanciful Flowers.  I love what you can do with silhouettes, and I love my Inktense pencils (which I know you've heard before), so what better way to get back in to the swing of things than to combine both?!?

I started by stamping my images with light shades of Distress Inks - Scattered Straw and Shabby Shutters - then I coloured directly on to the images with my pencils in shades of orange and yellow.  Inktense pencils are permanent once dry so between coats let the images dry then you can build up your colour without disturbing the first layer.

You can just make out in the close up shot the background stamp I've used over the completed panel.

It was such fun crafting today I can't tell you!  I'll have more of a catch up next time with plans for AnnaBelle Stamps!

Have an incredible weekend and if I don't get back before next week have a blessed Easter with family and friends!

Hugs for now,

Friday Feature - Blog Hop

Hello everyone, I hope you are surviving the heat!  It's time to join in with the AnnaBelle blog hop as we celebrate the release of two brand new sets!!  This month we are looking a little romantic and elegant, so I hope you love the new sets!

I have gone very simple with my cards as I still try to find some semblance of creativity!  So here goes!

It's not obvious in the photo but the first layer is raised by dimensional foam and sits above the black base card.  I stamped the BBD9 background after removing some of the ink with a baby wipe, but think now I would've liked to have stamped of once first to lighten the colour.

Using the lovely soft DI Tattered Rose I coloured my base  card by applying the pad directly to the card then inked the BBD9 background once again and stamped.  Using the fabulous Stamp-a-ma-jig I lined up the square pattern and stamped it 4 times before adding my sentiment.

I couldn't resist using the background one more time!  I've stamped directly on to a white base card with DI Festive Berries and then distressed with DI Antique Linen.  My other image is from Standing Tall and has been water coloured.

Now if you've arrived via the AnnaBelle blog then you already know that one lucky person is going to win these sets just by following along with our hop, so be sure to add your name to the Inlinkz once you've finished!!

Thanks for stopping by! Now you'll want to head on over to Kylie's blog to see what she has created with these new sets!

Hugs for now,

Friday Feature with New Sets!

Hello all, do you remember me!  I haven't blogged here for a couple of months now, or is it a few months, but I hope to say I'm back!  I might give you a bit of a catch up below for those interested :)

To get myself back in to gear I had to go very CAS and keep it entirely simple because I have to say I was very nervous making a card to share after such a long break.  This month at AnnaBelle's we are showcasing two new sets due for release at the end of the month, on each Friday Feature, just to give you plenty of teasers lol!  For mine I used the large background which you can just make out, but click on the image if you'd like to see it close up, it looks a bit like old wallpaper, all be it bright pink!

The Sprinkles are Rhubard in 3mm, 4mm and 6mm along with 0.8mm Twine.  The ink I've used is Memento Rose Bud.

Check out the AnnaBelle blog for another card from the wonderful Tobi using these new sets!

For those of you who follow along on the AnnaBelle blog you may have already read that I kind of lost my mojo, and life was a little full on, so I had to make some changes.  First I needed to do some study to get back in to the workforce then we had a 21st, Christmas and an 18th, so there was just no time for cards!  I hope all of that is about to change as I settle a little more in to routine again.  AnnaBelle Stamps has been a passion and driving force in my life for 4 years, but it just isn't paying it's way, which is why I need to scale things back, move some stock, and make it more of a 'boutique' kind of stamp shop with fewer sets but more examples and samples of how those sets can be used.  We will still have releases but I won't be trying to keep with the 'Jone's' by having one  every month or every second because that just wasn't working for me.  So I hope to be back now creating and enjoying it rather than getting it done because I had too, and I have to say I'm just a bit excited by the whole thing!

Have a wonderful weekend all!!

Hugs for now,

Mixed Media Christmas

Hi all!  It's been a while since I posted on my blog and it just seems that each day s getting a little busier, but I wanted to share a card from my Topical Tuesday post on the AnnaBelle blog yesterday in case you missed it :)

I have to admit I got very inky with lots of different mediums, but had lots of fun!  It was a last minute thing, so what I had in my mind had to just evolve as I went!  I would have preferred to make something and then repeated it for the camera, but sometimes that just doesn't happen, so when I did the little mountains first up I had coloured them with Gelatos and then changed my mind by the end of the video lol!

If you liked to catch up on the video you can find it on the AnnaBelle channel HERE or the ABS blog HERE!

Thanks for stopping by :)

September Release Blog Hop!

Here we are with brand new setts and brand new digi's!!  If you have just come from the ABS blog then you would've seen the great new sets and Printable Pages now available in the AnnaBelle store, and I hope you love them as much as I did creating them!

I'll start with a Christmas card, because it's always good to get those out of the way early!  I kept it very simple with white on white as my colour scheme!

The Printable Pages make it very easy to put a card together!  Because they are laid out on an A4 sheet you simply print, cut in to 4 and then trim again if you like an edge and paste to a card base.  I stitched mine for a change and coloured with Copics!

This card uses the Scribble Scrabble 2 set.  You can just make out the edged pattern from one of the images.  I was going to use this image to create a large candle but ran out of time, but I can see it even if I haven't done it yet lol!

And lastly Scribble Scrabble 1.  I used the different circle sizes to create the dotted background.

It's time to move on to Sue's blog who will have something amazing to share with us!

Hugs for now everyone,
